Phillip Apelbaum Innovation Precincts

Phillip Apelbaum has been a practicing property consultant and licensed Estate Agent for the past 35 years.  Active in the wider commercial market, with a specialised focus on retail, supermarkets and shopping centres in his formative years, Phillip established Healthcare Property Group (HPG) in 1997.  Since then HPG has provided property related services to the wider national healthcare market, which today has close links to education, research, and technology.  HPG has a proven ability to conceptualise, and successfully relate to the sector’s needs, and has established relationships with a vast network of key constituents that drive the sector. Its portfolio of managed healthcare related properties includes Public and Private Hospitals, Day Surgeries, Diagnostic and Specialised Treatment Facilities, Specialist Consulting Suites, Medical, Dental, and Allied Health Centres.

HPG has an impressive array of clientele including Australia’s largest healthcare listed and unlisted Real Estate Property Trusts, national Superannuation Funds, Public and Private Hospitals, Universities, Research Institutions, Publicly Listed Healthcare Providers, large private companies, investors, and occupiers.

As a result of a concentration of activity in Health and Education precincts, having authored or co-authored numerous research studies in relation to various such precincts in Australia’s eastern seaboard , Phillip established “Innovation Precincts” a consultancy firm recognising that expanding populations, the need to create employment opportunities, a generational shift in values, and the exponential growth in technology, are all factors that have contributed to a transitioning period akin to the initial Industrial Revolution.

A key factor underlining the firm’s success has been its foresight and ability to recognise emerging trends in healthcare, education, research and technology precincts, linking the growing private health, research, and education sectors to both the public sector and the wider real estate markets.
